Asakusa Zatsugeidan

Asakusa Zatsugeidan (the Hiroshi Sakano Street Performance School) was formed in 1985.
The group began its activities under the guidance of the late Hiroshi Sakano, who was a leading figure in street performance and peddling arts.
The group does Japanese street performances and demonstrates traditional sales banter used to sell toad oil, bananas, and candy. They performed at the Tokyo Folk Performing Arts Festival in 2016.

 

Suzume no Tears with Remon Nakanishi

Suzume no Tears with Remon Nakanishi is made up of Miyuki Sato, who sings Bulgarian folk songs; Agasa, a singer-songwriter; and Remon Nakanishi, a Bon dance researcher and performer. Their music is a crossover between Japanese and East European folk traditions.
